Has the weather here this year got you down? Missed a lot of skiing and want to get some more in before you hang up the skis for the season? Race #2 will be available shortly. You can see them on the 2013-2014 Video page. Old man winter doesn’t like us this year. Due to the high windchill forecast for tomorrow, we are cancelling the training at Holiday. Stay tuned for word about the races on Sunday. They aren’t cancelled … yet. For the first Wednesday in quite a while we are actually skiing. See you at Springhill at 7. In what has become a recurring theme this year, we have to cancel our activities today. Blizzard conditions will make it dangerous to get to the hill and it wouldnt be much fun once we get there. We are looking at making up our missed races in the next couple weeks. There are some new videos available for viewing from the training that occured on January 12. You can see them here. In an attempt to make up some of the lost ground in our racing season, we will be having two races on Sunday at Springhill. Weather permitting of course. There will also be training on Saturday at Springhill, again weather permitting. With the high today not expected to go above -23 and the windchill not expected to ease up any, we’ve cancelled the training at Springhill tonight. So go heat up your waxing iron and try to keep warm. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I have to say that tonight’s Master’s event, Race #1, has been postponed. Due to the weather and high winds we won’t be racing at Springhill tonight. We’ll look at holding Race #1 another night. Our next event is January 19th, Training at Holiday Mountain. |
