Due to the low interest in going to Holiday Mountain, there will be training at Springhill on Jan 3rd for anyone who wants to show up. Darryl will be there to do some coaching for those that would like some pointers from 10 am to 1 pm. Darryl contacted Holiday Mountain and was told that they have one chair open and the magic carpet. (Hey, its better than a rope tow.) There isn’t enough snow to put gates in, so it will just remembering how to turn and some drills with the coaches. Springhill only has the tow rope open at the moment. I’d rather walk up the hill than use the tow rope, so this is probably for the best. Due to Nov 18th being a Jets game and Santa Lucia doesn’t accept reservations on those nights. So Bib night has been moved to the next Wednesday, Nov 25th. See you there! It’s finally time for Registration Night. Come out to Santa Lucia Pizza at 4 St. Mary’s Road to sign up for another year of racing and to catch up with everyone. For those that want to get a jump on the ski season, the annual CSIA Convention is being held at Asessippi Dec 11-13. Its a good chance to ski with some of the best instructors in the province. Talk to one of the coaches for more details. The race/hot dog night that was scheduled for March 4th has been cancelled. It’s that pesky weather again. It’s looking really nice for the weekend and our Asessippi outing though. See you there! Due to the chilly conditions existing today and over night, Race #3 will once again be postponed.
